Family is one of the most important, if not the most important thing in our lives. Taking time every day to appreciate your loved ones for all that they do helps us to reconnect as a family. Nothing is better than going home to family and eating good food and relaxing. Having somewhere to go is home. Having someone to love is family. And having both is a blessing. Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city. It’s all about the quality of life and finding a happy balance between work and friends and family. Our family is a circle of strength of love with every birth and every union the circle grows. This is my family. I found it all on my own. It’s little, and broken, but still good. Yeah. Still good.

I’ve been trying to learn how to not be so conflicted about things like my own anger. I’ve always had a place in my music for my anger as a way of compensating for not having a mechanism to express it in my everyday life. So I’ve been trying to be more true to myself, and that helps me to chill out a little bit. My own apathy is bone chilling. I want to be able to like just chill and make whatever I want to make. Chilling out is easier said than done. You’d love to spend an entire weekend at the spa getting a massage or a mud mask. But, you just can’t get away from commitments, like coffee dates, gym classes, brunches, and work assignments. On any given afternoon, you’re running through subway stations, answering emails on your phone, and attempting to check things off your to do list. Most of all Self-care and chill.
